Ben Brush is an emerging Nova Scotia painter. Influenced by current consumer oriented media and subcultures like: skateboarding, comic book illustration, tattooing, and graffiti. His work is bold and candid. Ben combines line, caricature, and other styles to create social commentary on canvas, skateboards and found objects. With no formal art training and a street art background, Ben’s artwork is unhindered by convention. His paintings are characterized by strong outlines, often in black and white, with a single subject filling the surface area. Ben will formally premiere his works in October 2010.
