Twila Robar-DeCoste

 

Twila Robar-DeCoste is a visual artist and illustrator working in watercolour, acrylic and pen and ink to create realistic paintings of wildlife, landscapes and seascapes.

She is a self-taught artist holding BSc., MSc., and BEd. degrees from Acadia University.

Twila Robar-DeCoste has illustrated eighteen books, mostly on natural history for children and adults. She has co-authored two books on local history. She has taught painting classes and workshops for many years in studios and at Acadia University.

Robar-DeCoste has exhibited her work in numerous galleries in Nova Scotia, P.E.I., Ontario and France. Her work is found in many corporate and private collections in North America and Europe. Her work was selected for the 2004 and 2005 Canadian Lung Association Easter Seal campaigns. Twila was juried and elected to the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) in May of 2009.
